DAY 1 (D)
International Flight arrival and transfer to ship in afternoon.
Everyone will be briefed on customs formalities, program details and get to try on your boots ensure they are of the right size for you.
Ship will sail along strait of Magellan, home to Magellanic penguins, cormorants and other seabirds.
Day 2 (B,L,D)
Escorted by Peale’s penguins, ship will navigate Cockburn, Brecknock and Ballenero channels. Afternoon will have the ship enter Beagle channel, the spectacular Glacier Alley as well as Darwin ice field. By evening, ship will call at Ushuaia, capital of Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.
Day 3 (B,L,D)
Morning Catamaran tour exploring the infamous lighthouse at the End of the World, sea lion and cormorant islands.
Day 4 (B,L,D)
Overnight crossing of Nassau Bay, find yourself awaken in full view of legendary Cape Horn.
Should weather permits, you will be one of the few privileged adventurers setting foot on this famous island. Ship will continue passage towards Antarctica.
Day 5 (B, L, D)
Full day crossing of Drake Passage stretching across under 1000km.
After crossing the Antarctic Convergence, the environment will change. Keep your cameras ready, this is time watch for icebergs and sightings of Antarctic land.
Day 6 - 9 (B, L, D)
Reaching South Shetland Islands, sail in ice-filled bays, enjoy company of seabirds, penguins, seals and whales. Board a Zodiac for your first memorable shore visit to a penguin colony. You will also explore several spots in Gerlache Strait that offers best overview of varied Antarctic environment.
Day 10 (B, L, D)
Return to King George Island and bid farewell to Antarctica before boarding flight to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for the night.
(Note: Meals in Punta Arenas are at your leisure and not included in the program/itinerary)
Day 11 (B)
After breakfast in hotel, transfer to Puntas Arenas airport for your onward flight, or continue with the optional Patagonia tour.
All flights are excluded in the tour.
