Day 1 - Arrive Yangon, transfer to your hotel, free and easy. In the evening, we have a short briefing on our upcoming tour.
Day 2 (B,L,D) - Depart for Sittwe Airport, transfer to jetty for departure to Mrauk U (5-7 hrs). Upon arrival to Mrauk U, transfer to hotel.
Day 3 (B,L,D) - After breakfast, we start our day with a visit to Ratanabon Pagoda with its intricate network of alleyways and corners. Here we will invite our model monks to pose for us as we photograph them in ambient or candlelight. We then continue onto to Htukkananthein Temple to photograph our model monks as well as the Buddhist scriptures and murals. Just before lunch, we have a short stopover at a local Tet village where we will meet the lovely Tet ladies with their age old practice of enlarged ear lobes. They are the last of their kind as we photo document these living idols.
After lunch, we continue onto to two of the grandest temples in Mrauk U, the Shittaung, with its 80,000 Buddhist images as well as the uniquely oblong Kottaung with an equally impressive number of Buddhist statues. By late afternoon, we return to a watering hole near Ratanabon and photograph the local women collecting water with aluminium jars on their head. Sunset will be at an elevated hill near Ratanabon.
Day 4 (B,L,D) - This morning, we wake up extra early for the classic sunrise over the Mrauk U valley at one of the pagodas. After breakfast, we depart for the Chin tribe up river (3 hrs) to photograph the tattooed women of the Chin tribe, the last of their kind in a natural mountain village setting. At the villages, we will distribute a collection of clothing and foodstuffs to the local villages and children. These will include a charity pack of rice, basic foodstuffs, stationary, etc.
Lunch will be a packed lunch. Return to our hotel in Mrauk U in the evening.
Day 5 (B,L,D) - Sunrise today will be at Mrawa Paya, with its multiple layers and distant pagodas, a scene that looks like out of a page of the ancient Wethali kingdom. We return to the hotel for breakfast before transferring to the jetty for our return boat back to Sittwe. Upon arrival into Sittwe, we check-in our hotel and visit ViewPoint Beach where we will practice coastal photography and the use of filters for long exposures. After dinner, retire for the night.
Day 6 (B) - After breakfast, we visit the lively Sittwe market. Lunch is on your own before we transfer to airport for our return flight back to Yangon and catch the connecting flight back to Singapore.
All International and Domestic flights fares are excluded in the tour fees.

- Participants must bring their own cameras. As reviews and critiques of the shots can only be carried out in digital format, all participants are encouraged to bring a digital camera.
- Participants are required to observe the laws and regulations of the host country.

- Participants would be required to sign an indemnity form for the workshop.
- Participants who are below 18 years must get parental / guardian consent to attend the workshop.
- Should the workshop be cancelled in the event of unexpected circumstances, Canon Singapore Pte. Ltd. will make a refund to all confirmed participants.
