Studio Lighting for Portraits (SFC-eligible)

Students are expected to have completed our Basic Photography course or have good knowledge of the following:-
  • Functionalities of your personal DSLR or any interchangeable lens camera system or compact camera with hotshoe feature
  • Photography foundation (i.e. you know the difference between f/2 and f/22, why you would choose one over the other and knowing when shots turn out all blurry, you can troubleshoot to shoot again to get it sharp)
  • Comfortable working/shooting with manual (M) mode of your camera

  1. To register the Course, you are to provide the following information and send to by stating subject matter “subject: SkillsFuture Course”. A system generated confirmation (“Confirmation”) will be sent to you upon successful registration:-
  • Full name as per NRIC
  • Name of the Course (“Course”)
  • Preferred Intake
  • Camera Model
  • Mobile No
  • Claim ID as provided in SkillsFuture Credit Application (“SFC Application”)
  1. You can thereafter attach the Confirmation in your SFC Application at For clarity, you could search Canon courses/workshops on SFC website by typing Canon Singapore in the search field.
  2. Please email us the SFC approved notification upon receiving the same or not later than 3 days before commencing the Course for our reference and record.
  3. Notwithstanding of the above, your course registration is subject to SkillsFuture’s approval on your SFC Application.
  4. Inoccurrence of any of the following events, you will be required to make full or partial payment prior to attending the Course:-
    • The SFC Application is rejected or cancelled by SkillsFuture as at the commencement date of the Course; or
    • The approved SFC is lesser than the course fee as at the commencement date of the Course.

Studio Lighting for Portraits (include 1 hour lunch break) : 02 Jul 2017 / 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Workshop is open to all camera brand users (mirrorless / DSLR cameras)
  • Registration must be made via this website on a first-come-first-served basis. No reservation entertained.
  • Participants must bring their own cameras, lenses & charged batteries.
  • Canon Singapore Ptd. Ltd. shall not be held responsible for any injuries or mishaps during the workshop.
  • In the event of workshop cancellation due to unexpected circumstances, Canon Singapore Ptd. Ltd. will refund participants on their paid fees.
